Sage X3 ERP V12 Preventative Maintenance

Sage X3 ERP V12 offers on platform preventative maintenance capabilities. The optional component assists manufacturers best manage their plant and equipment to help reduce equipment breakdown and its impact on production capacity and performance.

The preventative maintenance functionality in Sage X3 does not to replace a full CMMS system however it certainly provides companies who may not yet require a best of breed CMMS system, with visibility into production and non-production equipment that needs scheduled servicing.

The modifiable workflow in Sage X3, as displayed in the image, follows a logical business process and covers both operational and financial aspects of delivering preventative maintenance services.

The technical data area of Sage X3 now includes preventative maintenance specific functions.

Job tickets, under the main process area of Sage X3, can contain “non-stock” sub-contracting services for those occasions where outside service providers are required to carry out preventative maintenance tasks. A job tick can also contain a parent bill of material (BOM) with component products and routing much like a production work-order.

A new miscellaneous table has been created for Skills that defines that type of skill resources have been attributed with. (The person performing the work.) Effective dates can be applied to resources and skills certifications and warnings and blocks applied in Sage X3.

Equipment can be broken down to a parent-child relation where the child equipment (i.e. hydraulic system) is assigned to the Equipment (i.e. Stamping press) for ease of planning, scheduling and identifying work to be completed
